3. This means scramjets can achieve some of the speed of a rocket without having to carry heavy oxidiser (to mix with fuel), as rockets do.

4. The gasses are cooled as they pass through a thermal oxidiser for the further reduction of NOx (Nitrogen Oxide) and the removal of any odours arising during the drying process.
