(1) Plenty of starch grains present in perisperm cells.

(2) Cells of perisperm contain mainly lipids, a small amount of protein granulars but no starch grain.

(3) The perisperm of the seed is the main structure for storing nutritive materials.

(4) The nucellar tissue enclosed by circular embryo develops gradually and accumulates large amounts of starch and develops into perisperm which mainly provides nutrition for seed germinating.
