Cukor, George George CukorCu·kor, George /ˈkjuːkə $ -kər/ (1899–1983) a US film director who won an Oscar for best director in 1964 for My Fair Lady. He was the original director of Gone With the Wind (1939), but was replaced after only two weeks after arguments with the main actor Clark Gable.
