1) If your running shoes are not fitting properly, whether the arch is not the right size for your foot, or the shoe is causing you to pronate inwards or outwards, you're going to run into problems.

2) This is especially true to take the pressure off of your knees if you pronate, e. g. , ride the inside edge of your foot when you step down.

3) Once I've got the racket on my shoulder, I use the mechanics we previous discussed to get to my contact point. I swing up on edge and pronate to get the racket to contact.

4) Running on a road that is banked at the sides, for example, effectively gives you one short leg, causing it to pronate and put pressure on the knee.

5) Once you have the above motion down, then you can add pronation. I do this at about 1:30 in the video. I start by swinging up on edge and pronate right before my imaginary contact point.
