1. The value engineering methods are used in the remoulding of Huludao General Chemical Plant saltern crane after researches, analysis and demonstrations.

2. Based mainly on the Bergey's Manual of Systematic Bacteriology, Volume 1(1984), strain H5 which was isolated from Huanghai saltern pool in Jiangsu Province was identified.

3. The results showed that the areas of land for building, water area and fishery land increased. Paddy field, dry agricultural land, tidal flat, forest land and saltern decreased.

4. For artificially reclaimed area, farmland, woodland, breed aquatics pond, saltern and land for construction are included.

5. Strains E9 and E14 which are isolated from the Dongshi saltern pool are iden-tified.

6. The method can be used for curing the industrial waste gypsums, such as phosphogypsum, desulfurization gypsum, yellow gypsum, saltern gypsum and salt gypsum and the like.
