2. Therefore BAFF A may be an attractive therapeutic target for human BAFF -associated autoimmune diseases.

3. Objective To investigate the serum levels and clinical significance of B cell activating factor (BAFF) in some frequent rheumatic disease.

4. B cell activating factor (BAFF) is one of the TNF family member, regulates the survival and maturation of B lymphocyte.

5. To screen single-strand DNA aptamers specifically binding B cell activating factor belonging to the TNF family(BAFF) and identify its affinity.

6. The first process involves NIK, an enzyme that acts closely with BAFF, the substance that regulates the number of B cells in our bodies.

7. Therefore, the structure, expression, receptors, biological function and clinical application of BAFF are briefly summarized in this review.
