1 Neonatal omphalitis is a disease of common occurence.

2 In view of the increasing incidence of neonate omphalitis, the PDCA circulation was used for managing this disease to improve the protective measures during bathing the neonate.

3 Conclusion: MEBO is very efficacious in treating newborn omphalitis . It is easy and simple to apply.

4 In more benign form the condition may be one associated with abscesses, omphalitis, arthritis, endocarditis , dermatitis, enteritis, metritis, vaginitis, and abortion.

5 It suggests that the PDCA circulation in the management of prevention and control of neonate omphalitis has certain effects.

6 Objective: To observe the efficacy of MEBO in treating newborn omphalitis.
