(1) Conclusion AFI is one important evidence to diagnose oligohydramnios.

(2) AFI 50 mm was associated with oligohydramnios and adverse perinatal outcome.

(3) Results Obstetrical complications such as umbilical cord abnormality, oligohydramnios and premature labor were associated with neonatal asphyxia.

(4) Methods A total of 101 cases of oligohydramnios from 1994 to 1996 were analyzed and compared with normal parturition.

(5) The oligohydramnios resulted from markedly diminished fetal urine output as a consequence of polycystic kidney disease.
