1. The results show that white muscardine silkworm can be identified by ultraviolet fingerprint spectra of ethanol extracts.

2. Ingredients: Snake gall, bezoar, tanshinone, pearl, Szechwan gentian, muscardine silkworm, chrysanthemum indicum, mint, honeysuckle and etc.

3. In this paper, we established the HPLC fingerprint of methanol extracts from white muscardine silkworm to reflect its internal chemical information and evaluate its quality.

4. Gradient elution HPLC was used to analyze methanol extracts from white muscardine silkworm, and analyzed the data of their fingerprints by similarity.

5. Though there were difference in content of active component of white muscardine pupa for anticonvulsion between same strain to living pupa and to dead pupa, It were not obviously different very much.

6. From the above results, we suggested that the fingerprint can be used to evaluate the quality of white muscardine silkworm.
