1. Acetylacetone was synthesized by using boron trifluoride etherate as catalyst.

2. Hydroxyalkyal lignin was synthesized from alkali lignin with propylene oxide. Then it was epoxied by epichlorohydrin catalyzed via boron trifluoride etherate to form lignin based epoxy resin.

3. Solubility of nitrobenzenamine in xylene was higher than that in toluene, but solubility of etherate was nearly the same in the two solvents.

4. A route suitable for industrial production of secnidazole was improved, in which boron trifluoride etherate was used in replacing sulfuric acid as the catalyst.

5. Hydroxyalkyal lignin was epoxidized by epichlorohydrin catalyzed via boron trifluoride etherate to form lignin - based epoxy resin.

6. Solubility of nitrobenzenamine in ternary system was higher than that in binary system, but the solubility of etherate did not change.

7. The PPVK films thus obtained showed good redox activity and high electrochemical stability in boron trifluoride diethyl etherate.
