Stanley, Henry Morton Henry Morton StanleyStan·ley, Henry Morton /ˈstænli/ (1841–1904) a British explorer (=someone who travels to places that have not been visited before). In 1871 he was sent by a US newspaper to find David Livingstone in Africa, and is famous for saying ‘Dr Livingstone, I presume’ when he found him.
